My name is Sweetheart and I am named for my kind nature.
I’m very human orientated but also enjoy the company of other dogs.
At the moment I live in a pack and get along with dogs of all shapes and sizes.
A home with another dog would be ideal but I could be an only dog too.
I have not been spayed so I can only live with other females or castrated males.
The reason I have not been spayed is because I had a condition called heartworm and it is a little more risky to go under anaesthesia.
It seems that nobody wants to adopt me because of my condition but I am happy and healthy.
Heartworm is a condition spread by the bite of mosquitos and is very common here in Greece.
Heartworm can be fatal if left untreated but luckily for me DASH ensured I got the medicine I needed and my condition is stabilised.
I am a little quieter than my friends and have a calm disposition.
If you seek me out to give me some attention I love it and I will want to play with you.
My care takers at DASH describe me as a very loyal , beautiful girl with the most lovely temperament – they say I’m a 5 out of 5 for friendliness!
I came to DASH in October 2019. They saved me from the streets as I was very poorly with heartworm.
The DASH team believe I had a family once and was likely abandoned because of my lovely nature and the way I behave around humans.
Although I am calm, I am also energetic and will require walking daily.
I’m an energy level 3.5 out of 5.
I do not need a particularly active lifestyle but regular exercise will be good for me with a garden to play in or a park to go for walks in.
Do you think you could take a chance on me ?

Katerina our founder has a remarkable relationship with the dogs and instinctively knows the various personalities and which type of families they would suit.
All dogs have passports and can travel to your country.
Each dog is fully tested for any medical issues prior to adoption and are vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
There is a fee of approx. £482 for an adoption.
We do not make any profit on this fee.
The cost of the adoption goes towards the safe travel arrangements for your new fur baby and any health checks and subsequent treatment required before travel.
Our DASH Rescue dogs make beautiful, loving and highly rewarding members of the family! One of the benefits of adopting a DASH dog is that due to the way in which they are looked after in ‘packs’ having regular contact with humans, all our ‘adoptables’ are friendly and well-socialised.
In general rescue dogs require a period of adjustment and some training to settle in to their new home, but it is so wonderful to see them grow in confidence and enjoy all the little things in life that other dogs take for granted.
