Hi, I’m Baron

I’m a very large Greek Shepherd male and for the past 6 months, I’ve made DASH my home! Even I don’t know how old I am exactly, but I do know I am in the winter season of my life.

Sadly, my journey before arriving at DASH has been very tough.

I have a history of abuse, much like many of my friends at DASH.

When the volunteers at DASH found me, I was malnourished, dehydrated, grossly underweight & both of my ears and tail had been roughly hacked off.

Today I am looking so much better! I’m one of the life-long residents at DASH and there are many reasons why I would prefer to should stay here at the shelter.

My right ear still suffers from chronic infection from the injury and blood tests indicate that I have Heartworm.

My treatment for Heartworm will take several months, I mustn’t experience stress or high levels of activity during my treatment.

I’m a Greek Shepherd, we have some personality qualities that make us not happy being family dogs. As a Greek Shepherd, I have very strong guarding instincts, and this could make life in a traditional family home tough for me!

Given my age (I’m getting old!) my breed and my health, it really is in my best interests to remain at the shelter where I feel safe and relaxed, with volunteers giving me the help I need.

I love my new life at DASH and with your help, you could make DASH an even better environment for me and all of my friends.

By sponsoring life-long DASH residents, like me, you will be helping feed and care for me and changing the lives of every dog that comes to DASH for help, love and shelter!
