Hi, my name is Gracie.

I arrived at DASH Dogs just before the corona virus hit globally, at the end of February 2020. 

I was rescued from Stenosia, where I was found suffering from advanced manage and malnutrition. 

I was absolutely terrified…

For mange to be as bad as mine, it must be left untreated for a very long time. 

For my fur to be gone and my skin to have crusted, my body to weaken and my immune system to be so low it means that I was overlooked by many.

It means that I suffered and ignored for many many months. 

People walked by and they saw me and just they did nothing. 

They didn’t call a charity or animal organisation. 

They didn’t take me to the vets. They left me. 

Thankfully, DASH Dogs didn’t leave me and they took me back to their shelter. 

I have settled in a treat, and slowly but surely my fur is growing back and my crusty skin is healing. 

The people here take care of me and give me nutritious food so they have gained my trust!

I am recovering well but still require ongoing treatment, which unfortunately makes it difficult for me to be adopted, I need lots of care and attention at DASH Dogs to get me healthy.  

Once I am at optimum health I can be put up for adoption!!
