I’m a Collie and I’ve been at the DASH Dogs rescue centre for a long time – around 7 years. It really has become my home! 

I’m one of the life-long residents at DASH Dogs and there are many reasons why I would prefer to stay here at the shelter. 

As a small puppy, I was found, along with my siblings, scavenging in bins to survive. 

I have a lot of special needs that would make it hard for me to find a family in a traditional home. 

Because I had such a difficult start in life, I can sometimes become aggressive when I am frightened. 

My sister was adopted by a family, but it would be very difficult for me to adapt to family life – I would simply find it too stressful. 

At the DASH Dogs rescue centre, I have a place where I feel happy, safe and loved. 

I have my own place in a pack and have made my own space, where I hang out in our area of the shelter. 

I love my new life at DASH Dogs and with your help, you could make DASH Dogs an even better environment for me and all of my friends.
