Katerina

Nicknamed "The Dogmother", Katerina is the founder of DASH and the heart and soul of the shelter. She knows each and every one of the dogs and takes great care to ensure they settle in to shelter life until they find their forever home. Katerina has dedicated her entire life to this cause and works tirelessly, overseeing the running of the shelter, rescuing animals in need and conducting the DASH Dogs education programme, which reaches out to local communities, endeavouring to change the outdated culture and attitude towards dogs here in Greece.

Vasiliea

Another local, Vasilea, is instrumental in supporting the shelter by being out and about in the local area. Vasiliea liaises with vets and suppliers, goes out on rescues and even does the accounts.

Efraim

Efraim is a pillar of strength at DASH, a great all rounder. He helps give the dogs their medications and daily food. He adapts to all areas of the shelter and there’s nothing that Efraim won’t turn his hand to.

Stavroula

Stavroula, Katerina’s sister, is fairly new to the shelter, but has already become a vital part of DASH. She helps with adoptions by taking lovely videos and photos of the dogs that are ready to find their forever home, as well as looking after their general wellbeing.
